Aker Fassi Beauty
Morocco’s iconic natural lip-and-cheek tint, held within a handmade terracotta clay pot.
Learn the ritual ↓Colour, drawn from tradition.
Aker Fassi is a traditional Moroccan beauty pigment associated with poppy petals and pomegranate peel, used to give lips and cheeks a buildable red tint.
The clay pot is part of the ritual itself. A lightly dampened applicator lifts pigment from the red-coated surface, allowing you to build a soft flush or a deeper colour without filling the pot with liquid.
Lift the colour, then build it.
Use very little moisture. The pot should be dampened through the applicator—not filled with liquid.
Prepare the applicator
Lightly dampen a fine brush, cotton bud or clean fingertip with rose water. It should be moist, not dripping.
Activate the pigment
Rub the damp applicator gently across the red-coated inside surface of the traditional clay pot.
Tap and build
Tap onto lips or cheeks and blend. Repeat gradually until you reach the depth of colour you prefer.
Do not pour rose water directly into the pot. Keeping the pot dry between uses helps preserve the traditional pigment surface.
